Most people who are forex traders might think that trading over the phone seems old fashioned. Why would you trade verbally and tie up two people at a time when you can just use your regular internet access to trade much faster and actually see the prices in front of you?

In order to trade by phone you need to really know what you are doing, and just knowing how to do it is the same reason that math teachers might make their students start by doing exercises without calculators, just to make them sharp.

Also if there was ever any event such as a power outage while you have live trades open, you would want to be able to call in and monitor them. That is another reason to never trade without a stop loss, because one trade gone awry can wipe out your entire account.

Also if you are the type of person that travels alot, it may be more convenient for you to trade over the phone.
